Indian Premier League - 2019

The BCCI said on Tuesday that the 2019 edition of the IPL will be fully in India, and will begin on March 23.The dates collide with the general elections, which is expected in April-May. However, a BCCI release said that the decision of date and venue by the administrators committee was made after discussions with federal and state officials.
It is likely that the entire IPL schedule will end in early February. In addition to the domestic locations of eight franchisees, about four to six additional grounds have been listed as back-ups. Once the Election Commission of India announced the final dates of the elections, the IPL will consider whether any of these places need to be replaced.
Although the IPL has not announced the date for the final, it is likely to be between May 12-15. According to the norm, the past champion has the right to host the tournament opener and the finals. Then Chennai will get both these important matches. After the voting dates in the city are made public, more clarity is expected on the situation.

In a press release, the BCCI said that the decision to organize the tournament in India was based on "initial discussion with the appropriate central and state agencies / officials". A detailed program, BCCI said, "will be finalized in consultation with the appropriate authorities", after which the administrators' committee will discuss "detailed discussion" with all stakeholders.

In 2009 and 2014 - the last two seasons that were related to the general elections - the IPL was transferred to South Africa and UAE (first part of the season) respectively. Even this time, the IPL was active about keeping the alternative plan. The first priority was to always keep the whole tournament in India but South Africa and UAE were again chosen as alternate places. Prior to the auction on December 18, the IPL had informed the franchise about several plans, because the tournament had to be taken out of the country.

The next major challenge for the franchisees in the next season is that the IPL will end in England a few weeks before the World Cup starts on May 30. As a result, the availability of foreign players towards the tail-end of the season is a bit unclear.

IPL millionaires : Curran and Unadkat

There were well-known profiles of players in the 2019 IPL auction, which were mystery spinners, foreign players who shone against India, were Indian fast bowlers - but this year's main theme was young. Sixty players were signed by eight franchisees - for some of them big money - and 32 of them were unmasked.

The biggest payment went to Tamil Nadu's mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty, who claims six different variations. Each of them is officially worth more than INR 1 million, when it was purchased by Kings XI for US $ 8.4 million (about USD 1.17m). The captain of the franchise, R. Ashwin, who is also from Tamil Nadu, had to beat Kolkata Knight Riders under the leadership of another great Tamil Nadu stalwart Dinesh Karthik to get his man.

Jaydev Unadkat also earned the same figure, which proved that Indian fast bowlers are the most sought after batsmen in the IPL. He became IPL millionaire for the second time in the same year. The Rajasthan Royals were immediately sold in the left hand at INR 8.4 million (approximately USD .17m), the same team which had bought for INR 11.5 crores in January and then released it before the auction.

Fast lane Life

Overall, there were 20 experts who had bids. Fourteen of them were local. And the six people who have represented India in one format or another, each of them withdrew at least Rs. 1 crore. Rs 1.1 crore in Delhi Capital for Ishant Sharma, Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 5 crore Mohit Sharma, Rs. 4.8 crore in Kings XI Mohammed Shami, Rs. 3.4 crore for Mumbai Indians for Barindar Sharan and Varun Aaron for Royals 2.4 million Rupee.

So if you are a foreign fast bowler and you want an IPL contract, then bowl more than 140 like Loki Ferguson (KKR), Ocean Thomas (Royals), Hardas Wilson (Kings XI) and Enrique Narve (KKR) - or To be left-arm - like a legend like Harry Garney (Kings XI) - or Lasith Malinga (Mumbai), but still there is no guarantee. Dale Stain did not get any takers.

Then they are international players who are impressed by playing against India. The 20-year-old England fast bowler Sam Curran, whom Virat Kohli described as the difference between the teams during the recent Test series, became the highest-priced foreign player this year, which was going to Kings XI Punjab in INR 7.2 crore.

Sensations of Teenage

Seventeen year old Parsimaran Singh came at the base price of INR 20 lakh, but for INR 4.8 million (approximately 666,000 USD) Kings XI Punjab was sold. He has not played any T20 matches, but he feels a big setback in age cricket. In the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup final, he won the title by scoring his innings of 65 not out on 37 balls.

The 16-year-old leg-spinner in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, striker RA Burman hit a rug at RCB, which took him to INR 15 million (about USD 208,000).

Harpreet Barad (Kings XI) has yet to play a top-level competitive match. Darshan Nalankande (Kings XI) has only five names and none of them was T20. Shubham Ranjan (Rajasthan Royals) has not played the smallest format too. Neither Agnivesh Ayyechi (Kings XI), Prithvi Raj (Kolkata Knight Riders) and Rashik Salam (Mumbai Indians) are. These are the players who are leaving the virtual unknown, it seems, for talent scouts of IPL teams.

RCB - The Old Age

Indian Premier League - 2019

They make big runs They defend the opposition. But they remain largely titles because they have almost no bowling attack, which they can trust. RCB had money to solve that problem - he had the fourth largest purse - 18.15 million - but he spent a large part of that money on batsmen.

He got Shivam Dubey for INR 5 crore, though he is a seam-bowling all-rounder, but he is comparatively more difficult to hit the ball over the ropes than the more difficult ball. He got Gurkeerat Singh, who used to bowl off the off-spinner, but again he would be able to make more runs than preventing them. In fact, the franchisee chose only one specialist bowler - 16-year-old uncapped legspinner Prayag Ray Berman

Coach Ashish Nehra was in the auction in Jaipur and he said that you can not do anything wrong in the auction, the steps you take depends on what kind of players you need. Last year, he gave a confident vote to his bowling attack and it seems that his auction strategy is the same. They believe that they already have enough resources to disturb the other teams. Perhaps with the possibility of Tim Southey being available throughout the season, Australia's fast bowler Nathan Coulter was expected to fit Nile and Yuswendra Chahal was talking to him, some of them are well-established.

Agarkar: Hematir is a good buy, but RCB can reach the top again. West Indies batsman Shimron Hatmayer goes to Bangalore Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 4.2 million
Mohammed Shami, who took 6 wickets in the Perth Test against Australia, went to Kings XI in INR 4.8 million (about 667,000 US dollars). Mohit Sharma, a death-over expert with his classification of slow balls, drew bids from different franchises, until he was finally sold to the champion Chennai Super Kings for $ 50 million (USD 694,000).

Foreign hits

West Indies T20 is the undisputed king. He made the world title his name. And their reputation ensures interest in almost every T20 league in the world. Twenty foreign players were selected and six of them came from the Caribbean.

Shimron Hatimer, who was indiscriminately on India's tour earlier this year, had come to bid in the first set of auction. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 4.2 million (approximately USD 583,000), which is in the captaincy of Virat Kohli, and his left-handed batsman should have a close look as he scored 259 runs in five one-day internationals. 140 strike-rate

Carlos Brathwaite will resume his Eden Gardens love affair, which will go to Knight Riders for US $ 5 million (approximately $ 694,000). West Indies all-rounder made his name for the first time in the World T20 Final in 2016 when he hit four fours in four balls to win the title in Kolkata.

Hard-hitting wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Puran will be included in Kings XI squad for INR 4.2 million (approximately USD 583,000). All-rounder Sherfen Rutherford, along with the strike-rate 142 of T20 and the first class of 6 for 6, joined the Delhi team for INR 2 million (approximately 277,000 USD). Chemo Paul, who entered the senior team as world champion from under-19 cricket at the beginning of this year, got home with Rs. 50 lakhs for Delhi Capitol, while Rajasthan became Rajasthan Royal.

Yuvraj Singh became unsolved when his name came for the first time, but at the end of the day, he was called back and took Rs. 1 crore (about USD 139,000) in Mumbai

Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dubey, who hit five sixes in an over, went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 5 million (approximately 694,000 US dollars).

RCB brought Akshdeep Nath for Rs 3.6 crore (about USD 500,000) The 25-year-old batsman has played for Kings XI and Gujarat Lions in the past.

Hanuma Vihari, who was traveling with the Indian Test team since the England series earlier this year, became the first woman to be sold for the first time in Jaipur this auction. Riddhiman Saha, who has not played a competitive match since the end of the last IPL, had gone 12 million (about USD 167,000) for Sunrisers. The wicketkeeper has been running for a long time for his shoulder injury, but is expected to be fit again at the end of this month.
